I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Certified Art Therapist. I’ve had my private practice since 2014; before that I worked in Community Mental Health.
I received my MA in Art Therapy Counseling from Marylhurst University. While I don’t practice Art Therapy as directly as when I held sessions in person, I still fully believe that creativity and self-expression are good for mental health. If you’re interested, I’m always happy to explore how creativity can help you.
I celebrate diversity and work with LGBTQ+ and straight people; queer, cis, and nonbinary people; and folks who don’t identify in any of these ways.
When I’m not in my office I enjoy cooking, making art and crafting, and exploring Portland’s great independent bookshops.
About my last name- How do you pronounce Hohenboken? Just drop the second “H”: Ho-en-boken.
